Car Careens Toward Tracks By San Onofre Nuclear Power Plant
A traffic collision sent one car off the freeway, landing near the southbound train tracks of the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA — An early Monday morning traffic incident sent one vehicle over an embankment along the southbound 5 Freeway, according to officials.
Shortly before 5 a.m. Monday, a traffic collision occurred in the southbound lanes of the San Diego 5 Freeway at the San Onofre Power Plant, according to an officer in the Border region communications center.
One vehicle ended up down the embankment, landing near the train tracks, they said.
