Play Poker to Help Special Needs Kids Fish

A local charity will be hosting a benefit poker tournament with several NFL legends to raise money to help kids in need catch fish.

The nonprofit organization Fish for Life takes kids with special needs fishing out of Dana Wharf during the summer and fall months for free. It is an incredibly popular event for our needy children.  

Our first fundraiser of the season is coming Friday, May 10 at the Talega Golf Club Signature Grille.

It is a Texas Hold 'em Poker Tournament. (See attached PDF for more details)

Prizes include stays in fancy hotels -- including in Hawaii and the Ritz Carlton, tickets to the Irvine Improv Comedy Club and other prizes. All those who register will get a 3/4-day fishing trip with Dana Wharf Sportfishing.

It will be a very big fun night, for all the right reasons.
