Local Artist Goes High Tech With Artmonious

Art, Culture, Technology

Local San Clemente artist, Susan Cox, has gone high tech when connecting with art collectors. She is part of the brand new app Artmonious, which makes it easier to discover art that matches individuals tastes with just a swipe of their fingertips.

Different to other online art platforms, Artmonious’ art taste algorithm connects art lovers the way that Pandora does for music enthusiasts. “It’s fantastic,” said contemporary impressionist, Susan Cox, who has been involved in the beta version of the technology. The local fine oil painter, who regularly exhibits at the Laguna Beach Festival of Arts and San Clemente's OC Contemporary gallery, continued “I have already started selling using the app. I think that it is a unique and focused way for people who appreciate art to discover work that they will love. It helps cut through all of the creativity that is not in their taste, and matches them with artists that they may not have otherwise found.”

Artmonious agrees, “Artists want to create art and not have to worry about finding buyers, and art collectors don't want to be overwhelmed with so many choices. So we came up with a solution where artists can get their artwork in front of people most likely to buy their work. And for collectors to find exactly the kind of art they're looking for.” Their mission? To become the go-to-place for artists and collectors all over the world to connect.
