Ellie's Table bakery and cafe will open in North Beach in September, occupying a restaurant space in the historic Casino San Clemente.

“I can’t tell you how excited we are,” said Casino owner Linda Sadeghi in a press release. “That we can once again service the local community with homemade delicacies for breakfast and lunch in the culinary tradition of the Casino. Jay’s Catering, our hand picked operator, has a highly respected history of running a family owned business in Orange County for more than 40 years.”

The café is situated in the southwest corner of the West Wing of the Casino, according to the release. With the renovations to the space, customers will be able to enjoy ocean views from the restaurant or sit on the private outdoor patio on the corner of Boca de la Playa. The restaurant will also offer take out, the release states.

Planned hours for the café are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

“The name Ellie’s Table is a tribute to my Grandma Eleanor Mastroianni, the original Chef at Jay’s Catering," said Armand Barragan of Ellie’s Table in the release. "Just like her kitchen at home, Ellie’s Table will have a communal table for friends and family to gather.”

Linda Loaeza, President of Jay’s Catering, said her family was moving into the next generation of food service with Ellie's table and Jay's catering work at the Casino.

“As my sons continue our family’s passion for food with the opening of Ellie’s Table at North Beach, I’m excited to see the next generation of Jay’s Catering define their style of food and service to continue our tradition of serving the local community,” she said in the release.
