3/17/2021…San Clemente, California… The City of San Clemente Beaches, Parks & Recreation Department is interested in receiving proposals from qualified recreation instructors for conducting surf and beach instruction for the Recreation Division through the Recreation Contract Instructor program. Qualified candidates will have prior experience in the surf industry, with a strong emphasis on surf lessons and recreation program management.

The objective of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to award a contract to an applicant that can provide the community opportunities to learn beach and ocean safety while providing safe, enjoyable and high‐quality surf and beach activities for a reasonable price. The location of the activities is for south of T-Street near tower 7, commonly referred to as “The Hole”. The term of the contract is for a period of one year with opportunities for continued extensions based on successful execution.

All interested proposers should register as a vendor through the PlanetBids portal to gain access to the RFP document and to stay informed of up-to-date RFP information. All proposals must be received by the City no later than April 15, 2021 at 2:00 pm to be considered. The question and answer (Q&A) period is open until Thursday, April 1, 2021.
