San Clemente Author PJ Adams On Parisian Journey At SJC Library

San Clemente Author PJ Adams of San Juan Capistrano invites all to her reading and book signing at the San Juan Capistrano Library.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — Travel author and local San Clemente resident PJ Adams will make an appearance this Sunday at the San Juan Capistrano Library.

"Orange County’s own PJ Adams will discuss her latest book in San Juan Capistrano as part of the Friends of the Library’s French-themed September," the Friends of the Library stated over Facebook announcement. "PJ will answer questions and sign copies of her newest book, “Intoxicating Greater Paris: Loire, the Valley of the Kings,” part of her Intoxicating Travel series, at THE Bookstore."

The event will be held on Sunday, Sept. 18, at THE Bookstore as part of the Friends of the Library’s Local Author Lecture Series.

Released this month, the book tells PJ’s quirky journey through one of the most beautiful valleys in France.

Join PJ and local expert Christy Destremau, the American-French owner of France Off the Beaten Path Tours, as they explore the Loire, home more than 300 castles where kings, queens and paramours ruled France for centuries.

“We’ll fly the Loire skies in a hot-air balloon, cycle the pretty byways along forests and vineyards, hike and picnic at the burbling river’s edge, and wander the most splendid gardens and mushroom caves on the planet,” they say.

“Intoxicating Greater Paris: Loire, the Valley of the Kings,” will be available for purchase at THE Bookstore,m and it’s available through Amazon worldwide and Barnes & Noble in paperback and ePub formats and includes a tour guide and tour package recommendations for visiting this area of France.


The author combines psychotherapy and travel that with her keen interest in inspiring authors and her evolved into a fiction and non-fiction travel writer.

The Intoxicating series explores the beauty, adventure, cuisines, wine and people of the specific regions through the eyes of a therapist who loves to learn about lives and lifestyles.

Tom Blake will host, an author and newspaper columnist, who visited Paris in April.

Their chat will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 at THE Bookstore, 31495-A El Camino Real, with a reception and book signing to follow.
