San Clemente Street Sweeper Parking Enforcement Resumes Oct. 22
Starting Oct. 22, enforcement for street sweeping will begin again, the city says.
SAN CLEMENTE, CA — After a temporary street sweeping parking enforcement respite, the city of San Clemente parking enforcement will go back into place later this month, officials say.
The city of San Clemente temporarily suspended parking enforcement due to the COVID-19 Stay at Home order.
"Due to the additional parking on City streets, the street sweeping crews were not able to be as effective as they normally would be," a spokesperson says. "This has resulted in an accumulation of leaves and other debris on City streets, with the potential to enter the storm drain system which drains directly to the ocean."
