Toast to the Casa 2018 - Casa Blanca

Support access to the arts, history and education at Casa Romantica's 16th annual Toast to the Casa gala.

Support access to the arts, history and education at Casa Romantica's 16th annual Toast to the Casa gala. Funds raised support our 501(c)3 nonprofit cultural programs for people of all ages in south Orange County, including critically-acclaimed performances, exhibitions, lectures, and children's academies.
Funds also support preservation of our historic property, San Clemente founder Ole Hanson's home, and maintenance for its botanical gardens. With the support of many caring families, individuals, and companies, we can make cultural access fun, affordable, and inspiring!
Our 2018 theme recalls the Art Deco glamour of the landmark film Casablanca (1943) as well as the vibrant marketplace and nightlife of Morocco’s most romantic city. Entertainment includes a Big Band, a DJ spinning contemporary tunes, a charity casino, a spinning Wheel of Wine game, a performance by Moroccan dancers, a traditional Moroccan tea maker, a hookah and cigar lounge, gourmet food and beverages from nearly 30 local vendors, and live and silent auctions.
2018 Honorary Chairs
2018 Honorary Chairs Mr. and Mrs. Peter and Gail Ochs are Orange County art collectors and philanthropists. Peter Ochs is the former chairman and CEO of the Fieldstone Group of Companies. Together with his wife Gail, they underwrote Casa Romantica’s Open Casa: I Love You California, a 2017 exhibition of historically significant California Impressionist artworks from the Ochs’ personal collection. As Honorary Chairs of Toast to the Casa: Casablanca, they continue their investment in Casa Romantica’s mission of making cultural and education programs accessible to people of all ages.
In addition to supporting the arts within Orange County, the Ochs are the founders of the Fieldstone Leadership Network, a non-profit leadership training and networking organization. They are also active in their private foundation First Fruit, which provides the developing world with resources to live a fruitful life.
