LAKE FOREST, CA — Watch the south Orange County sports roundup that covers a week in sports, starting with Jan. 10 non-leauge basketball highlights from Aliso Niguel, and their match-up with Capistrano Valley.

"They did a great job," The Aliso Niguel men's Basketball coach Coach Kieth Barnett said. "I'm real proud of their effort and their tenacity and finding a way to win against a very good team."

When Trabuco Hills met up with El Toro, the Mustangs fell 64-53. A rematch will take place on Jan. 26 at El Toro.

"I liked the way we were playing, we were getting the shots, we weren't finishing rebounds," Coach Nick Sainto said. This is Sainato's first year as coach of coaching, with the boys down 0-1 in non-league play.

More in local girls sports, the Aliso Niguel Wolverines battled San Clemente, and the Mission Viejo battled the Mustangs in girls soccer.

The Mission Viejo sponsored South County Sports Zone shows outstanding local scores and highlights on SportsZone, available in Mission Viejo on MVTV, daily at 4:00, 8:00, and 11:00 p.m. on Cox Channel 30 and AT&T Channel 99, and in Aliso Viejo at 6:00 p.m. on Cox Channel 850.
