2 Men Shot On I-580 In San Leandro
The shooting forced a partial closure of the road Thursday.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Two men were shot on Interstate Highway 580 Thursday afternoon causing a 45-minute shutdown on the eastbound side, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials received a call around 12:32 p.m. about shots fired in the area of eastbound Highway 580 west of Interstate Highway 238. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered that two male
victims had been shot while in a moving vehicle and been brought to a hospital.
CHP officials said the driver suffered a gunshot wound to his right index finger and the passenger was shot in the torso on the right side three to four times.

Both victims' injuries were not considered life-threatening, according to CHP.
The officers remained with the victims' vehicle until investigators with the CHP Golden Gate Division Investigation Services Unit arrived.
