522 New Bikes For San Leandro Children

It's going to be a very Merry Christmas in San Leandro, thanks to Officer Louie Brandt and Bikes For Tykes.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — You may want to park you car on Christmas Day - there are going to be a whole lot of kids out riding new bikes in San Leandro.

Davis Street distributed 522 new bikes and helmets for kids on Dec. 16 through the Bikes for Tykes Program.

San Leandro Police Officer Louie Brandt raised more than $25,000 to purchase the bikes for needy children. In fact, over the last seven years, Officer Brandt and Davis Street have partnered to give away more than 3,000 new bicycles and helmets to low-income children.
