The City of San Leandro is looking for residents to serve as the community's citizen representatives to one of three important groups that work with the Oakland Airport: the North Field Research Group.
This North Field Research Group, which currently has (2) vacancies, was created by the Port of Oakland to address community noise concerns and make recommendations on noise related issues at the Oakland Airport. This group consists of representatives from local communities, airport staff, airlines and tenants at the airport, and the FAA, who join efforts to facilitate cooperation between the airport and local communities.Â
The North Field Research Group meets quarterly, normally during morning business hours at the airport's North Field Offices. City staff members serve on the Research Groups as well. The appointment is for four years.
