“It is an honor to represent the interests of San Leandro on the national level,” stated Councilmember Lopez. “I’m determined to continue my advocacy on behalf of the community during one of the most challenging times that we have ever faced and champion our cause in all levels of government as we rebuild in a better way.”

As a board member, Lopez will meet with her NLC colleagues in the spring, summer, and fall to guide the organization’s strategic direction. Board members are selected by a 15-member nominating committee and confirmed by a vote from NLC’s membership at the organization’s annual business meeting.
