Board To Consider 'Framework' to Keep Raiders in Oakland: Lott
A group led by Ronnie Lott has come through with a framework that would keep the Raiders here, Lott reports on YouTube.
BAY AREA, CA — Former San Francisco 49er great Ronnie Lott reported on YouTube Tuesday morning that the Alameda County Board of Supervisors will take up the proposed framework with Oakland City Football Group LLC which would keep the Raiders in Oakland.
The team has been asking Oakland for years to build a new stadium to replace the dilapidated Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. Administration after administration has failed to come through with a deal, so the Raiders had been moving forward with efforts to build a stadium in Las Vegas and move the team there. The photo above shows the proposed stadium in Vegas.
Any plan to move the Raiders would have to be approved by the NFL.
