Earthquake! Did You Feel the Jolt?

The jolt was on the Hayward Fault, according to the USGS.

SAN LEANDRO, CA - Did you feel the earthquake around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning? It measured 2.5, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

Residents of San Leandro, Castro Valley and Hayward have all report feeling the temblor on social media.

There have been no reports of damages or injuries as a result of the earthquake.

The USGS warned, "The 2003 Working Group for California Earthquake Probability assigned a 27% probability that the Hayward-Rodgers Creek Fault system would produce a magnitude 6.7 or larger earthquake in the next 30 years."
