Eight Nights of Hanukkah

Jews in San Leandro, and all over the Bay Area, come together to celebrate Hanukkah with sufganiyot, latkes, menorah lightings, and friends.

Eight Nights of Hanukkah

Temple Beth Sholom in San Leandro hosts events every night of Hanukkah for the entire community.

San Leandro, CA (December 12-19, 2017) – Party every day and night with the Temple Beth Sholom community in commemoration and celebration of Hanukkah; the re-dedication of the Temple by the victorious Maccabee forces and the miracle of the light. Every night of Hanukkah (December 12 – 19), Temple Beth Sholom will host events designed for families, children, teens, adults, singles, and seniors. Enjoy sufganiyot (jelly donuts), latkes, and new friends at events covering the spectrum: adult education, three socials (two family friendly and one for adults only), an intergenerational sing along, two tzedkakah (charity) projects, a DIY menorah clinic, and an oil tasting cocktail party.

Temple Beth Sholom has partnered with Jewish Family and Community Services, Home Depot, Krispy Kreme, Baywood Court Retirement Community, and National Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY) to bring together every aspect of the Jewish community for fun and comradery. With generous donations from Amphora Nueva, Whole Foods, and several anonymous donors, the events are sure to be de-light-ful.
