Fire Training At San Leandro Tower May Produce Smoke

Training this weekend at Alameda County Fire's training tower in San Leandro will produce smoke that may be visible around the East Bay.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Smoke may be visible in the East Bay this weekend as the Alameda County Fire Department conducts fire training at its training tower in San Leandro.

The training with the Chabot College Fire Technology program will take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at the tower, at 890 Lola St., according to San Leandro police.

Smoke may be seen in from BART and Interstate Highway 880, police said.
