Fran Robustelli Hired As City Manager
Robustelli has held the title of Interim City Manager since last year.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The San Leandro City Council made it official Monday, approving the contract of Fran Robustelli and making her city manager, a job she's held on an interim basis since December 2020.
The move makes Robustelli the first permanent city manager in San Leandro's history.
"Ms. Robustelli took charge of the city manager position amid the coronavirus pandemic, calls for police reform, budget shortfalls, and city council leadership changes," San Leandro Mayor Pauline Russo Cutter said in a statement. "I'm thrilled that we hired someone who is so well prepared to be our city manager."

Robustelli has 25 years of experience working in executive roles with city governments and special districts. Her specialties include economic development, budget and risk management, and emergency services.
"The previous months in San Leandro have been one of the busiest times in my public sector career," Robustelli said, in a statement. "I'm thankful to be entrusted with this permanent role so that I can continue to support Mayor Cutter and the City Council in the various projects and challenges they will address in 2021 and into the future."
