Funeral For Murdered Explorer Karla Ramirez
More than 600 people attended her service on Tuesday.

SAN LORENZO, CA — Alameda County Sheriff's Office Explorer Karla Ramirez was brutally murdered. That's how her life ended. On Tuesday, more than 600 people gathered to celebrate how her life was lived.
Karla's funeral was held at St. John's Catholic Church in San Lorenzo. Explorer Posts from throughout the region, law enforcement officers and community leaders all attended.

But, according to the Sheriff's Office, "Most importantly, Karla's parents and family were there to see and hear people pay tribute to their amazing daughter. Karla was living her dream of becoming a police officer and was a role model for other young people to follow. She was the pride and joy of her family and her dreams were their dreams...So today, we say goodbye to Karla but her spirit lives on in all of us. She made a difference and although her life was short she made an impact in the lives of the people she touched."
