Geologist Peeks at San Leandro Creek

See what this natural waterway looks like in one of its more pristine sections.

The Oakland Geology website is offering a peek at San Leandro Creek between Hegenberger Road and I-880.

This surprisingly natural-looking landscape that was the original shoreline of San Francisco Bay.

Above this point, the creek is walled in; below, it flows past the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline into San Leandro Bay.
