
Illegal firearm recovered during a traffic stop — On Nov. 21, approximately 5 p.m., an officer assigned to our Crime Suppression Unit (CSU) made a traffic enforcement stop on a motorcycle in the 700 block of Aladdin Avenue. His investigation lead to the recovery of an illegal loaded firearm. John Dorn (38), who resides in Castro Valley was arrested for the incident.
Illegal loaded firearm recovered during a traffic stop — On Nov. 23, approximately 1:25 a.m., officers made a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle on Bancroft Avenue, near Durant Avenue. During the investigation, an illegal loaded firearm was recovered from the vehicle. Kevin Watts (29), who resides in San Leandro was arrested for the incident.
Suspect arrested for possessing a stolen vehicle — On Nov. 23, 12:10 p.m., an officer attempted to make a traffic enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Galt Street and Fargo Avenue. The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers determined the vehicle had been reported stolen on Nov. 21 to the Alameda County Sherriff’s Department. Officers converged on the area and located and detained the suspect. The suspect Matthew Gomez (30) who resides in San Leandro was arrested for the incident.

Several illegal firearms recovered during — On Nov. 23, approximately 11:30 p.m., officers observed several subjects in 1100 block of Burkhart Avenue. The officers knew one of the subjects was on probation with a search clause. They conducted a probation search on Kyle Sequeria and they found an illegal firearm hidden under his clothing. Their investigation led them to the recovery of 3 additional illegal firearms. Kyle Sequeria (24) and Juan Estrada (24) who both reside in San Leandro were arrested for the incident.Â
