HAYWARD, CA - A man who was fatally shot in unincorporated Hayward while he was pushing his 3-month-old infant in a stroller on Wednesday afternoon was identified by the Alameda County Sheriff's Office today as 29-year-old Daniel Deltoro of Hayward.
Deltoro was shot in the 200 block of Willow Avenue at about 3 p.m. Wednesday and was pronounced dead at the scene, Sgt. Ray Kelly said.
Kelly said the infant wasn't hurt in the shooting and is in the custody of sheriff's deputies. Investigators, who haven't released any information on the suspect in the shooting, are looking into whether Deltoro was targeted, according to Kelly.
