Motorcyclist Killed In San Leandro Freeway Crash: CHP

The crash happened on Interstate Highway 880.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — A motorcyclist died in a crash early Thursday night on an off-ramp from Interstate Highway 880 in San Leandro, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol said.

The crash was first reported at 8:13 p.m. on the ramp from northbound Highway 880 to eastbound Marina Boulevard, CHP spokesman Officer Dustin Kennerley.

The victim was riding alone. He apparently hit the ramp's guardrail and was ejected, Kennerley said.

The victim's name had not been released as of 9:45 p.m. Thursday.
