  • WHERE: 15000 Farnsworth Avenue, outside 88 Manor Market

In Peachy, Bay Area artist Sarah Bowser takes a unique approach to mural art by installing individual wooden appliques creating a three-dimensional effect. The whimsical motif celebrates family living and community.
"What's so great about Sarah's delightful mural is that it conveys values important to San Leandro," said SanLeandro Mayor Pauline Russo Cutter. "We are very proud of our family-friendly community, and Peachysucceeds in delivering that message."

This project follows the installation of three significant murals in 2017 as part of the City's Mural Art Project. The Mural Art Project continues ongoing efforts by the City to energize and beautify San Leandro through art. Other art throughout the City includes the Chime Way interactive musical exhibit in Joaquin Plaza in Downtown San Leandro, decorative banners, as well as almost 70 painted utility boxes. In 2017, the City adopted a Public Art Master Plan, which provides a guide for the City and its Arts Commission to continue supporting progressive art.
