Nike Clearance Store Supports Davis Street’s Back 2 School Giveaway
Nike Clearance Store in San Leandro helps Davis Street give 50 low-income children brand new shoes for school.
August 3, 2017; San Leandro, California: Thanks to the Nike Clearance Store in San Leandro, 50 low-income children got to pick out a brand new pair of Nike’s for school. The private shopping event was part of Davis Street’s Back 2 School Program. The program provides 300 low-income and homeless children with a brand new pair of shoes, school supplies and new back pack to start the school year.
The 300 children enrolled in the program were entered into a lottery for an opportunity to pick out their new shoes at the Nike Clearance Store. 50 children received “golden tickets” and were able to shop before the store was open to the public.
I’m excited that Nike continues to work with the children and families we serve to make a difference in our community. Rose Padilla Johnson, CEO, Davis Street.
