The A’s and PG&E will hold an “Energize Your Field” opening ceremony Saturday, May 18 at 12 p.m. for the newly renovated Stenzel Field in San Leandro.
Following the ceremony, A’s infielder Adam Rosales will host a fielding clinic for members of the Washington Manor and San Leandro Little League teams.
The A’s, in partnership with the PG&E and the Good Tidings Foundation, renovated Stenzel Field this past March. The renovation included new irrigation, sod, bases, pitcher and catcher mounds, professional grade infield dirt mix and a new windscreen in the team areas.
The “Energize Your Field with PG&E and the A’s” program also made upgrades to Centennial Park in Hayward which serves Hayward Girls Softball League.
Through this three-year partnership, the A’s, PG&E and the Good Tidings Foundation will renovate various baseball and softball fields throughout the Bay Area.
