Oakland Restaurant Week Kicks Off With Party
Participating restaurants will offer prix fixe lunch or dinner menus at $20, $30, $40 and the new $50 price points.

The sixth annual “Oakland Restaurant Week” begins with a special VIP kickoff party in Oakland Wednesday, event organizers announced. The party is set to take place at Swan’s Market located at 538 Ninth St. from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. According to event organizers, guests can purchase a $25 tasting ticket that will allow them to sample foods from six restaurant week vendors and two drink vendors from Swan’s Market.
Presented by Visit Oakland and American Express, Oakland Restaurant Week runs from Thursday through Jan 24. Participating restaurants will offer prix fixe lunch or dinner menus at $20, $30, $40 and the new $50 price points. Event organizers said the promotional prices reflect up to 25 percent off regular a la carte items.
