Parking Disagreement Leads To San Leandro Shooting, Police Say

The victim is hospitalized in critical condition following Friday's shooting.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — An arrest has been made following a shooting at a gas station in San Leandro last Friday. The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition, as of Tuesday.

The man arrested was in Fremont. He is 31-year-old Sergio Williams, a clerk at the Shell station on Marina where the shooting happened.

According to investigators, Williams was upset that the victim had parked in the lot of the gas station for an extended period.

“San Leandro Detectives worked closely with Fremont Police in locating and safely taking the suspect into custody within hours of the initial investigation. We hope the victim makes a speedy recovery,” said Lt. Ali Khan.

Williams is being held on suspicion of attempted homicide.
