Temple Beth Sholom Welcomes All to Usher in the Jewish New Year

Temple Beth Sholom in San Leandro opens its doors to everyone for its 132nd High Holy Day season; S’lichot, Rosh Hashanah, and Yom Kippur.
“Now more than ever, we want – need, really - to feel connected to a community. The High Holy Day season brings us all together for reflection, contemplation, comfort, familiarity, and the potential for good things in the new year. We see old friends, meet new people, our children get a sense of our values, and we fortify the bond with our ancestors while forging new bonds with the future generations.”, said Marcy Weiss, vice president of the synagogue.
Services are conducted with elements of traditional and modern Judaism by Cantor Linda Hirschhorn, with participation from our members and lay leaders.
Cantor Linda Hirschhorn said, “I look forward to sharing music, teachings, and the beautiful liturgy of our prayer books for the coming High Holy Days. May this be a season of spiritual growth and nourishment for us all.”
