San Leandro Arts Program Receives Grant

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Alameda County has distributed $900,000 to 157 Alameda County nonprofit arts and cultural organizations through its Arts Relief Grant Program, including here in San Leandro.

The CARES Act-funded grant program was established to help organizations affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The County recognizes that arts and cultural organizations are an essential part of our community and an instrumental aspect of our economic recovery,” said Melissa Wilk, Alameda County Auditor-Controller.

The grants range in size from $3,150 to $15,750. All qualifying applicants received an award. The size of each grant was based on the organization’s operating budget.
