San Leandro Business Relocating To Sacramento Area: Report
Mi Rancho tortilla maker is leaving San Leandro after decades, offering transfers to workers willing to move.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — San Leandro is losing around 50 jobs as Mi Rancho tortilla maker moves its operations to Elk Grove in the Sacramento area, according to a report in the East Bay Times.
The company plans to open a $25 million state-of-the-art factory and has offered transfers to current workers.
The San Leandro plant will close on May 28.

“Some of your team members have successfully relocated to Elk Grove, at our new facility,” Berber Food Manufacturing stated in a letter sent to its employees, according to the Times.“If you are receiving this notice, it is because you have chosen not to relocate to the new facility.”
