San Leandro Christmas Tree Farm Guide For 2020

Many local Christmas tree providers are taking precautions amid the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure you and yours have a happy holiday.

San Leandro, CA — As the ongoing coronavirus pandemic threatens a long list of 2020’s iconic holiday traditions, it may still be possible to take your family on a hunt for the right Christmas tree — and even more importantly, do it safely.

At least 25 million real Christmas trees are sold each year across America, and currently, 350 million are growing in all 50 U.S. states. And despite these unprecedented times, the tree market is still up and running this year. Christmas tree lots and choose-and-cut farms nationwide are taking precautions as the coronavirus pandemic worsens to ensure patrons can take home their ideal tree with minimal risk to their health and safety.

In fact, the National Christmas Tree Association has released a special guide including recommendations and best practices for Christmas tree sellers to follow. Sellers are advised to frequently sanitize items such as hand saws and tree cart handles, as well as countertops, restrooms and other areas. Special signage and personal protective equipment for employees are also being encouraged.
