San Leandro Man Identified As I-880 Crash Victim
He died early Monday in a four car collision.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — A driver died in a four-car collision on northbound Interstate Highway 880 in San Leandro early Monday morning, California Highway Patrol officials said today.
Zarik Savadians, 62, of San Leandro, died from extensive blunt trauma, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.
The crash happened north of Floresta Boulevard around 12:40 a.m., according to the CHP. A 2011 Ford, a 2008 Honda, a 2001 Buick and a 2011 tractor-trailer were involved. The Honda was ahead of the Ford and the two collided, slamming the Honda into the center divider. The Honda bounced off the wall and came to
rest in the traffic lanes, according to the CHP.

The driver of the Buick then ran into the Honda, hitting it on the driver's side. The impact pushed the Honda into another lane, where its passenger side collided with a tractor-trailer, according to the CHP.
Medical personnel pronounced Savadians, the Honda driver, dead at the scene, CHP officials said.

Drugs and alcohol don't seem to be factors in the collision, according to the CHP.
