San Leandro Man Killed In I-880 Crash Sunday

SAN LEANDRO, CA — A man who died Sunday in a solo-vehicle crash on I-880 in San Leandro was a San Leandro resident, according to the Alameda Coroner's Bureau. However, his family has not been notified yet, so his name cannot be released, a spokesman told Patch.

The accident happened around 7:30 p.m. Sunday along northbound I-880, just south of the Floresta Boulevard overcrossing, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The driver was taken to an area hospital, and later died there, the CHP said.

There were no other injuries reported.
