San Leandro Road Construction Planned Through October

Caltrans plans pedestrian improvements, a ramp upgrade and paving work.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Lanes in five intersections in San Leandro and Oakland will be closed nights for paving and ramp upgrade work starting Monday and continuing through October, Caltrans said.

Work in San Leandro will include Davis Street at Clarke Street, and East 14th Street at 144th Avenue and Blossom Way-Cornwall Way.

One lane will almost always be open during the work, which will include pedestrian improvements, a ramp upgrade and paving work.

Lanes at Davis and Clarke streets will be closed from 9 p.m. too 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Friday and Saturday, and 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday.

In Oakland, where East 14th Street becomes International Boulevard, work is scheduled on International at 87th Avenue, and International at 47th Avenue.

Closures at four different intersections on East 14th Street/International Boulevard will be from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday through Thursday, 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. Friday, 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday and 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sunday. "Full closures of the two streets will rarely occur and only under unavoidable circumstances," Caltrans said in an announcement.

"Detours will be in place with directional signs for motorists to follow."
