San Leandro's Truth Thursdays: 2019 Schedule

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Are you hooked on Truth Thursdays? Good news -- they resume next week.

The popular event will take place every fourth Thursday of the month through August at the San Leandro Tech Campus in Downtown San Leandro. Surrounding the 55-foot tall Truth is Beauty statue, Truth Thursdays will feature multiple food trucks, beer, wine, recreational games and live entertainment for the whole Bay Area community to enjoy.

This year,organizers are introducing designated themes that feature additional event elements. This month will be a First-Responders Appreciation theme.

“The San Leandro Improvement Association is excited to bring the community together for safe, family-friendly summer fun for the third year at ‘Truth Thursdays,’” said Gordon Galvan, San Leandro Improvement Association’s president. “We invite all community members and visitors to gather under the beautiful Truth is Beauty statue and enjoy food, drinks and live entertainment.”

In addition to a different theme each month, “Truth Thursdays” will feature rotating food trucks and live music, so friends and family can expect a different experience at every event. Attendees can participate in recreational games like corn hole and bocce ball on the grass in front of Truth is Beauty in addition to the live music, food and drinks for the entire evening.

Dates for the 2019 “Truth Thursdays” summer event series are below:

• Thursday, May 23—First Responders Appreciation Event
• Thursday, June 27—“Made in San Leandro” Event
• Thursday, July 25—Arts & Culture Event
• Thursday, August 22—Season Bookend Event
