The man was run over by at least one vehicle after being thrown from his motorcycle.
HAYWARD, CA — A motorcyclist who was killed in a collision on Interstate Highway 880 in Hayward on Wednesday morning has been identified by the Alameda County coroner's bureau as 27-year-old Patrick Custodio of San Leandro.
The collision occurred in the No. 3 southbound lane of Highway 880 at about 6:20 a.m., California Highway Patrol spokesman Officer Manuel Leal said.
It appears that Custodio was splitting lanes when he ran into the back of a pickup truck, flew off his motorcycle and was struck by at least one vehicle, Leal said.
