Street Sweeper Crash Shuts Down I-880 In Oakland
Three lanes of Interstate Highway 880 were shut down near the 98th Avenue offramp by a crash involving a Caltrans street sweeper Saturday.
OAKLAND, CA — A traffic alert was canceled and lanes reopened on Interstate Highway 880 Saturday morning following a crash between a Caltrans sweeper and another vehicle.
About 7:30 a.m., the California Highway Patrol reopened three lanes that were blocked after the collision.
The crash involving the sweeper was reported at 6:20 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway near the 98th Avenue offramp.
