Train Hits Person At BART Bayfair Station
The station was closed for about an hour at the start of the Wednesday evening commute.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — A person was struck by a BART train Wednesday afternoon at Bay Fair station in San Leandro, BART officials said.
The victim survived and was taken to a hospital. The train strike appeared to be accidental.
Trains traveled through the station without stopping for about an hour, but by 4:54 p.m. the station at 15242 Hesperian Blvd. in San Leandro was open again.
