Victim Killed in San Leandro Crash Identified
The crash closed southbound lanes for several hours as the CHP investigated.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — A 26-year-old man who died after the vehicle he was in crashed into a highway center divider and guardrail in San Leandro on Saturday night has been identified as Cruz Ruiz Estrada of Hayward, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.
The California Highway Patrol first received a report of the crash around 11:30 p.m. on southbound Interstate Highway 880 near the interchange with Interstate Highway 238.
The vehicle Ruiz Estrada was in somehow veered off the roadway, striking the center divider and guardrail, according to the CHP.

CHP officers closed the highway's southbound lanes for several hours after the crash to investigate the crash.
