Christmas Comes Early! Stats Is Back!
San Marino's Damon Stathatos has reopened his landmark holiday decor shop.
PASADENA, CA -- Stats, the mecca of all holiday decor has reopened its doors in Pasadena just months after shutting down.
Owner and San Marino resident Damon Stathatos was forced to close the landmark Pasadena Stats after 50 years in the spring. The closure was heartbreaking to Southern Californians who were raised on the over-the-top Christmas magic of Stats’ displays.
But fortunately for Pasadena residents, Stats is back in time for the holidays, albeit with a smaller showroom.
Stathatos told the Pasadena Star-News he was moved by the groundswell of community support to reopen the store.

“We’ve had such an outpouring of community support when people thought we might be going out of business,” he told the newspaper. “There were more than 600,000 comments about it on social media. We’ve been here a long time.”
News of the store’s reopening spread quickly on Facebook.

“This is my all time favorite Christmas store,” Michael Cookenmaster wrote on the Stats Facebook page. “I started coming here in 1970. It's a shell of its former self, but that is the public's fault as they prefer cheap at large box stores instead of quality. I wish the store much success in the future.”
Relaunched with all new inventory, the slightly smaller Stats is at 120 S. Raymond Ave. Pasadena.
