To promote the upcoming 3rd annual American Cancer Society Southern California Chinese Relay For Life, a 24-hour event that aims to increase cancer awareness and raise money for research and free local services, ACS and SCCRFL will hold a kick-off event Saturday.
Community leaders, local cancer survivors and youth volunteers will be at the event, held at Live Oak Park in Temple City, to share survivor stories (in Mandarin) and information about free cancer services and resources.
Special guest speakers include and Temple City Mayor Tom Chavis.
