Farewell John

A proper farewell to San Marino City Manager, John Schaefer hosted on 7/15/16 by Chinese Club San Marino, 7/28/16 by the City of San Marino at the Old Mill & 7/29/16 his official last City Council meeting at City Hall.

Life is full of hellos & goodbyes and when it is time to say goodbye, we struggle to find the right words to express how we feel and/or sum up a period of our life that is coming to a close. I think the following quote comes close to expressing the sentiment we all feel about the wonderful John Schaefer:

"Yesterday brought the beginning, tomorrow brings the end, though somewhere in the middle we became the best of friends..." Unknown.

Thank you John for your active engagement with our community through out your career in San Marino City from police chief to city manager. You'll be missed!
