Wednesday, May 22, 2019 Asian Pacific American Festival at Mission Playhouse host a symposium on about living joyfully with discussions on emotional intelligence, family, parenting and volunteerism.
Follow the journey of four first-generation Asian-American pioneers in the area of Emotional Intelligence (EQ), family and parenting, and volunteerism in Joyful Living, Happy Life.
Their path to success as new immigrants included many struggles with schooling, marriage, and raising children until finally integrating into American mainstream society. Starting with volunteerism; they cultivated friendships, studied hard, acquired a sense of identity and belonging, and assumed important responsibilities as community leaders.
In this process they never stopped learning, and used their own upbringings as tools to becoming speakers and authors. Together they founded the workshop Joyful Living, Happy Life and jointly authored a bilingual book, "Practice Happiness: 7 Habits of Joyful Living"
