SAN MARINO, CA – The following is a collection of weekly police, court and fire stories from around the San Marino area this week.

A man who set fire to a South Pasadena hillside, threatening nearby homes, was sentenced to 180 days in jail Wednesday.

An Los Angeles County District Attorney's investigation concludes officers used reasonable force in the fatal struggle with Reginald Thomas.

Hours after settling an excessive force suit against Pasadena, an attorney for the family Reginald Thomas said the city lied about his death.

Lorena Alejandra Milian-Ramos was reported missing Thursday.
