Refunds are expected to go out in four to six weeks.

SAN FRANCISCO, CA —Around 32,000 toll transactions were overcharged crossing the Golden Gate Bridge over the past few months, a bridge district spokesman said.

The agency said some two-axle vehicles were mistakenly charged at the multi-axle vehicle rate, which is substantially higher.

The FasTrak rate for two-axle vehicles is $7.70 and $5.70 for those using the carpool lane.
