Caltrans To Begin Work On ​Harbor Bay Bridge Replacement Project​

Caltrans will begin the Harbor Bay Bridge Replacement Project in San Rafael Monday night.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A series of lane and ramp closures are expected in the coming days as Caltrans will begin the Harbor Bay Bridge Replacement Project in San Rafael Monday night.

Caltrans is planning to perform bridge removal work using innovative construction technology on the bridge's original structure located at the northbound U.S. Highway 101 off-ramp.

The work will result in the closure of three lanes at 9 p.m. Monday, and overnight full ramp closures from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. through the rest of the workweek.
