MARIN COUNTY, CA — With hot weather expected across the Bay Area, the National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for much of the region, including Marin County. The heat advisory is in effect from 11 a.m. Wednesday to 8 p.m. Thursday.
Widespread high temperatures of 95 to 105 degrees are likely across inland areas which will impact those who are sensitive to the heat, according to the NWS.
"Moderate to high risk of heat illness for those who are sensitive to heat or for those who are exposed to the sun and active for long durations," weather officials said. "This heat will also be dangerous to anyone without proper hydration or adequate cooling. Heat stress is also possible for livestock and outdoor pets."
