Jared Huffman Wins Reelection For CA's 2nd Congressional District
The Associated Press has called the race for California's congressional district 2 as Incumbent Jared Huffman wins the post.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — U.S. Rep. Jared Huffman (D-San Rafael) will stay in congress for another two years as he led with nearly 85 percent of the votes Tuesday. Dale K. Mensing, his Republican opponent, trailed with 15 percent of the votes.
Huffman, a Democrat held with 82,063 votes and will be reelected to his post, the Associated Press reports. He has defeated his Republican opponent for the third time.
California's 2nd Congressional District includes Marin, Del Norte, Marin, Mendocino and Trinity counties. It also includes parts of Sonoma County.

Huffman, a former attorney, was first elected to the seat in 2012, and won the general election, beating Dale Mensing with 77 percent of the votes.
He currently serves on the Natural Resources Committee and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. Huffman also chairs the Natural Resources Subcommittee on water, oceans and wildlife.

He was also appointed by Speaker Nancy Pelosi to the Select Committee on Climate Change in 2019.
Mensing has run against Huffman twice before, losing for the first time in 2014, with 22 percent of the votes. In 2016, he lost, with 23% of the votes.
