Marin Armed Robbery Probed

A semiautomatic gun was used in the robbery of a 16-year-old boy Saturday afternoon in Tiburon, police said. The suspect remains at large.

TIBURON, CA — A 16-year-old boy was robbed at gunpoint early Saturday afternoon, the Tiburon Police Department said.

The suspect, who remains at large, used a semiautomatic weapon in the robbery of the Tiburon resident according to police.

Police believe the victim was targeted. No injuries were reported.

The incident was reported at around 12:50 p.m. according to police.

The incident following an encounter between the the suspect and the victim earlier in the day, police said.

The victim reported being followed by the suspect into Tiburon when he pulled over in the area of Gilmartin Drive and Tiburon Boulevard, police said.

The suspect approached the victim and pointed a black semiautomatic handgun and demanded personal property from the victim, police said.

The suspect, a man in his 30’s, fled in a silver vehicle with unspecified stolen property according to police.
